RE: COVID-19/School Update
Dear Fairview School Community,
It seems like an eternity ago that the NBA canceled their season. Since that time we have been watching the dominos tumble down. And then you come to the realization that 7 days is not an eternity. It does prove how quickly our lives can change.
The school staff sends well wishes to all of our students’ families. We also would like to say thank you for all of your patience in these times of uncertainty. Below are a few reminders in which you may be interested.
- Please remember that student learning packets will be available for pickup beginning Thursday, March 19 beginning at 10:00 am. Please view the previous post for specific times for collection, based on last name.
- The school will continue to make sack lunch/breakfasts for all of our students. Lunches will be available for curbside pickup by the cafeteria doors Monday-Thursday from 11:00-12:00.
- There will be a virtual, informational meeting scheduled for next Tuesday, March 24, 2020. During this meeting, Superintendent Kloker would like to provide the community with up to date information regarding the district’s educational plan. We would also like to address any questions you may have. Additional details for this meeting will be published in future updates, as we are still considering the best time and platform to use.
- Please remember to keep checking the district’s website and Facebook page for updates. You will also be receiving a text message from the school to join a communication app called Remind. This app will allow the school to send important notifications via email or text message.
I would also like to send a tremendous thank you to the entire Fairview School staff. Over the past three days, I have witnessed an amazing effort to ensure we are prepared for what learning may look like in the future. The learning curve has been steep and the personal development of each individual is jaw dropping. But the number of staff members who have reached out to offer their assistance, just to help the district and the students, is truly inspiring. Thank you for all of your hard work and effort over the past three days.
