In Movies Class, students are gaining hands-on experience with the new drone and 360-degree cameras purchased through the MidRivers grant. They are learning how to safely operate the drone, practice proper flight techniques, and capture smooth, cinematic aerial footage that adds a professional quality to their projects. At the same time, students are exploring how 360 cameras work, experimenting with immersive storytelling, and editing interactive videos that allow viewers to control their perspective. By working with this industry-level equipment, students are building technical skills, creativity, and confidence while preparing for real-world opportunities in film, media production, and digital storytelling. Special thanks to Lander Monson and Ty Poulsen for sharing their expertise.
