Annie Oakley Animal Rescue visited the K-Ready classes today! They talked with the kids about being responsible pet owners, the importance of volunteering, and being respectful towards animals! The class gathered donations to gift them after. Thank you Mary, Brenda, and Sarah!!

Fairview High School is hiring a HS Cheer Coach for the 25-26 School year!
Fairview graduate, Jared Gustafson, taught the second grade about Braille today.
Ms. Tangen's Second Grade Class learned about the importance of the buffalo to the Plains Indians and how nothing was wasted. The hides were used to make their homes, clothing and blankets for warmth. Tipis took approximately 15 or more hides to make. The entrance faced the East, the drawings on the out side differed by the people who lived in them and their tribe. Students thought that carrying water in a buffalo bladder was most interesting! Students watched a PBS documentary about the buffalo and what the parts of the buffalo were used for. They made tipis, learned about pow wows, and the different dances done at a pow wow.

More science camp fun. Our high school students do a great job interacting with our younger students!
We are having a fun morning at science camp! The future scientists and engineers are making air powered balloon cars, paper roller coasters, straw forts, popsicle catapults, and learning about speed with walking and running challenges!
We are having a science camp this Friday from 9 am to noon. Your student should have brought home a registration sheet on Monday. We have a few spots still available so if you would like to sign your student up, please send the registration with them to school tomorrow!
